When is this year’s Oktoberfest WI?

  1. What time do gates open? 
  2. Gates open at5pmfor VIP ticket holders and 6pm for General Admission.
  1. What time is Last Call?
  2. Last sampling call is9:30 pm.Event participants must exit the fenced in grounds area by 10:00 pm as directed by our Security Staff.
  1. Is there parking available?
  2. Yes, there is plenty of parking available, as well as event parking located underneath the festival at no charge. Please follow signage found on the Corners of Brookfield grounds the day of the event for specific parking instructions.
  1. What about Transportation?
  2. Please bring a Designated Driver or please use Uber, Lift, or a Taxi service for a safe ride home.
  1. How do I buy tickets?
  2. Tickets may be purchased through our safe-online hosted website as well as in person at our retail store in Milwaukee.

        General Admission Ticket gets you:

  • Unlimited sampling of over 50  breweries serving German style craft beer, fall style beer, ciders, wines and more, as well as a number of other on-site activities such as:
  • Musical performances
  • Donauschwaben German Dance Group performances
  • Exhibits
  • A variety of food for purchase from local restaurants and vendors

Early admission at 5PM

  • FREE samples of Usinger brats at 5:00pm, and sausage and cheese at 6:00pm until supplies last

  1. How many beers can I sample? 
  2. This year, we look forward to having 50 breweries serving German style craft beer, ciders, and wines to sample. For more information about breweries attending this year’s Oktoberfest WI, please check out our Brewery section.
  1. Who can attend Oktoberfest WI?
  2. Oktoberfest WI is open to the public and all craft beer lovers. You must be 21 years of age to attend the event.
  1. What happens if it rains?
  2. While outside, Oktoberfest is a tented event, and will take place rain or shine. Sorry, no refunds.
  1. What about Designated Drivers?
  2. Designated Drivers (DD) are more than welcome to attend Oktoberfest and enjoy all of the other things that we offer.
  • DD’s must be 21 years of age or older.
  • DD tickets are $15.
  • The DD ticket also includes a brat or hot dog meal (drink included) and 2 beverage tickets (water or soda).
  • DD’s are not allowed in the VIP lounge.
  1. Will there be food?
  2. Yes, there will be a number of food options on site for purchase and some limited food sampling for you to enjoy. For more information, please see our food section.
  1. Will there be souvenirs and memorabilia available for purchase?
  2. There will be a number of local artists, craftsmen and vendors on site with a variety of souvenirs and items to sell including Official Oktoberfest WI merchandise and goodies.
  1. Will you take credit cards?
  2. We will take MasterCard and Visa on site for the purchase of tickets and at the Oktoberfest WI Merchandise tents. We will also have ATM’s available for use.
  1. Why the line for admission?
  2. We are required to check IDs for all guests who enter the festival. Although you might experience a line at the entrance gate, the line will move fast. You can help make it flow even smoother by having your ID and ticket out in advance for age verification. Valid Photo ID required
  1. Why would a brewery run out of beer?
  2. Sometimes, if a particular beer is overly popular that year, it could run out. Not to fret! Oktoberfest WI  has over 50 breweries to sample with plenty of variations to satisfy any beer connoisseur.
  1. Smoking Policy
  2. Because we are an outdoor festival smoking will be permitted, but in designated areas.
  1. Intoxicated Guests
  2. All attendees of Oktoberfest WI are expected to pace their taste! Some of the samples served can be up to 12% ABV. Any guests that the festival management believe is causing a disturbance will be asked to leave Oktoberfest WI without a refund.
  3. Last Call for Alcohol
  4. Taps will close at9:30pm.Please note and plan accordingly. The festival wraps up at 10pm and you don’t have to go home, but you can’t stay here! All guests must be off the grounds by 10p.m. as directed by Security.

  1. Can I bring my own food or drinks into Oktoberfest WI ?
  2. Oktoberfest WI will have plenty of food and nonalcoholic drinks available for purchase, and asks guests to please refrain from bringing their own food and drinks into the festival.
  1. Beer is good, but is there anything else to do?
  2. Yes! Although sampling German style craft beer is the main reason to go to Oktoberfest, we will also have:
  • Musical performances.
  • A variety of food for purchase from local restaurants and vendors.
  • A variety of non-food vendors sharing their goods and services.
  • Badgerland Dachshunds Club
  • German Shepard Dog Club of Wisconsin
  1. Will there be any other alcohols at Oktoberfest WI besides beer?
  2. Oktoberfest will also have different hard ciders, and wines available to enjoy.
  1. Do you have any gluten-free beers available at Oktoberfest WI?
  2. Yes, some breweries do provide gluten free options. Many of the ciders, wines, and other fruit based beverages are also gluten free. Please ask before you sample!
  1. What if I drive to your event, but don’t think I should drive home afterwards?
  2. We here at Oktoberfest WI appreciate drinking responsibly.  Because of that, we encourage folks that drive down to our event to keep their vehicles parked overnight. Cars will NOT be ticketed or towed for doing so until NOON the following day. If leaving your car overnight, be sure to Keep your wrist bands on so you remember where you were the night before!
